Bradley Arant Attorney Appointed to Jackson State University Board

Bradley Arant is pleased to announce that Jackson attorney Stuart P. Lott has been appointed to the Jackson State University (JSU) Development Foundation Board of Directors. Mr. Lott’s three-year term commenced on January 1.
‘I am honored to be appointed to the JSU Development Foundation’s Board of Directors,’ Mr. Lott said. ‘JSU served as a launching pad for me, and I’m excited to be able to give back to the university in this way. I look forward to working with university administrators, faculty, students, alumni, and other stakeholders in an effort to advance JSU.’
‘I’m excited to have Mr. Lott join the board, as he is a highly respected individual throughout the region and has unique perspective to offer,’ said JSU Vice President of Institutional Advancement Anthony Holloman. ‘Mr. Lott’s background in business, law, and non-profits will help us to solidify and diversify our resource base as the university continues to grow. He is young, energetic, and will add a creative thought process to our deliberations. More than anything, I am excited that Mr. Lott is so willing to give his time, talent, and resources. We as a board are very appreciative.’
The JSU Development Foundation and its board members are charged with attracting, investing, and managing private resources in an effort to raise funds for student scholarships and campus enhancements. The organization was established as a private non-profit in 1977. Since its inception, members have been committed to establishing the best possible relationship with JSU benefactors based on trust by operating with the highest ethical standards and providing excellent performance. After their initial term, board members have an opportunity to be reelected for up to two additional consecutive three-year terms.
Mr. Lott is a member of the Banking and Financial Services and the Financial Services Litigation and Compliance groups at Bradley Arant.
