Greetings Fellow Alumni, Prospective Students, Parents and Friends:
I would like to take this time to say thank you for the opportunity to lead your local Memphis Chapter of Jackson State University National Alumni Association. It is both a privilege and honor to continue to serve our great university. I would also like to congratulate our executive team for 2011-2013.
As we continue to climb the ladder of success as a Premier alumni chapter, we must continue to press forward. As scripture states, to whom much is given much is required, we must continue to support our chapter as well as our great university.

Angelia Webster, Vice-President
Angelia is a Greenville, MS, native. She is a graduate of Jackson State University, with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (1996) and a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling & Services(1998). She is currently the CEO for QualityCare Behavior Services, LLC. Angelia serves on the boards for NCBW 100, Macon Hall Elementary, and Volunteers as a Troop leader for Girl Scouts of America. She is married to Rick and the mother of two daughters, Rayna and Rayvn. Angelia has resided in Memphis since 1998. She enjoys attending JSU sporting events, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Her overall mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to become successful and productive members of the society by continuing to be a positive role model, and by providing effective strategies and interventions that will build a solid foundation over time.

B. J. Easterling, Director of Membership/Webmaster /
Greetings: I'm a 1986 Office Administration and a 1995 MBA graduate of Jackson State University. In 1973 I was employed, while a full-time evening student at the University in the Dean of Men's Office, later advanced to the Music Department, the Institutional Self Study, and ended my tenue in the School of Liberal Arts. I served as president of AEOP (Association of Educational Office Professionals) for three (3) terms and was named "Secretary of the Year" for two years. I was the 1st JSU secretary to receive my PSP (Professional Standard Program) Certificate at the National Level. I was a member of Phi Beta Lambda, SAM and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I am presently employed at White Station High School and is a member of Middle Baptist Church-Whitehaven where I serve as Director of the Computer Lab and Webmaster. I am also a State of Tennessee Notary, and the CEO of BJ Graphics/Designer.

Gracie Pitts - Activity-Fundraising Director
She is 1976 graduate of Jackson State University and has been active in the Memphis Alumni Chapter for over 20 years. She has served as activity-fundraising director for 3 or more terms, and during that time the chapter received recognition from the National Alumni for fundraising.
Gracie is employed as a special education teacher with Memphis City Schools for the past 23 years. She has also served as afterschool coordinator for school aged children, and served as a work-study coordinator for special needs students in Arkansas for 7 years.
She is the mother of James and Landria Pitts; and the grandmother of Jayla Amari McIntyre. She is a member of Polk Chapel CME Church. Her hobbies are traveling, cooking, and spending time with family, her JSU family, and friends.

Leroy Smith, Treasurer
Leroy Smith, a servant for the Lord; and a loving husband to Florida Wade Smith for 37 years.
He has no biological children; however he claims all children. He has been employed with The Commercial Appeal for 37 years, and is presently field sales manager.
Leroy is a former transfer student from UAPB and a very proud 1973 BS graduate of JSU, as well as a former football team member. In honor of our ancestors, he encourages us to keep plowing. LOVE JSU and God Bless!!!

Christen Scott, Director of Student Recruitment
To be Young, Gifted, and Black
Oh what a Lovely and Precious Gift! Christen is a May 2010 graduate of JSU and a native Memphian. She pledges to ensure that current and prospective students take part in benefits that JSU offers. She will continue to utilize excellent leadership, outstanding volunteerism, and superior commitment to JSU. Christen is a 2011 recipient of the 1st National Young Alumni Achievement Award, and the 2009-2010 Miss Jackson State University.
Her reign as Miss JSU, allowed her to exemplify characteristics as a passionate recruiter, ambassador, and spokesperson for our beloved institution. It is of great honor and distinction to uphold and uplift the standards of such an illustrious title. Throughout her tenure at JSU, she served as a member of Dance Ensemble, Tiger Pride Connection (Tour Captain), Maddramma Performance Troupe, TN Club (VP), Insatiable Modeling Squad, Awareness Society, and NAACP. Also, she became Miss Phi Beta Sigma 2008-2009, 2010 Student of the Year -College of Business, 2010 Jacksonian Award of Distinction recipient and recipient of the Student Life Dedication Award for Outstanding Commitment and Service.
Devoted to challenging minds and changing lives; she is proud to tell a prospective student: Choose Jackson State, I did! It is indeed a privilege as it is an honor to serve as an Alumnus of the Nations Top HBCU; Mississippis Only Urban University; Thee Jackson State University!!!

Roshanda Pittman-DeBoise, Financial Secretary
Originally from Summit, Mississippi, Roshanda Pittman DeBoise graduated from Jackson State University in the spring of 2005 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. While at JSU, she was a member of Tiger P.R.I.D.E Connection and served as president of the Accounting Society. Roshanda moved to Memphis and began working for the Internal Revenue Service as a revenue agent after graduation. She obtained her Master's of Taxation from the University of Memphis in the fall of 2007.Roshanda married Deon DeBoise (c/o '04) in 2009. They have one son, Anfernee.
