Mission Statement
The mission of the Tennessee Club is to serve as a liaison between the current student population and the JSU National Alumni Association, Incorporated while promoting future alumni involvement. Also, the club provides numerous opportunities for networking, involvement in alumni activities, and leadership development in order to promote student involvement in educational advancement. The Tennessee Club unites to serve the Metro Jackson Community with new ideas and implement community service activities.
Main Goals
The Tennessee Club wants to create a second home at Jackson State for Tennessee students. The club is designed to offer students the opportunity to obtain information that will assist them in their educational and professional development. The Tennessee Club hopes to achieve an atmosphere where created friendships will enhance leadership skills by connecting leaders of today with future leaders of tomorrow.
The club is also dedicated to community service projects in the university’s surrounding areas. Members plan community service projects that will strengthen the university’s presence in area neighborhoods.
The Tennessee Club reports directly to the Office of Alumni Relations. Members will be responsible for volunteering, planning, and performing club activities. Members will adequately portray Jackson State University and its policies.
