Parent Club - Memphis Chapter

The Parent Club was established on August 13, 2005 by Linda Daniels under the Presidency of Rubbie Patrick-Herring - sworn in by the Regional Vice President, Lillian Harris.
Purpose: To support and assist the JSU Memphis Alumni Chapter with student recruitment activities, current JSU students in their endeavors at the University, and to enhance the working relationship with parents, students, alumni and University staff.
Membership: Open to parents, guardians, grandparents, family members, and others who play a significant role in the life of a current or former JSU student. Membership dues: $24.00 a year per person.
Purpose of the Dues: (1) To establish an emergency fund for students (ex. death in the student's family, medical emergencies, etc...). (2) To provide study packets for students during their semester exams. (3) To provide courtesies such as birthday cards, get well cards to students and student's parents. (Just to show that WE CARE!)
Goals: To recruit more members, Financial support to students, To support the Alumni, amd to Support the Southern Heritage Classic (SHC) Recruitment Brunch/Tailgate.
Meetings: The Parent Club meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 3:00p.m. in conjunction with the JSU Memphis Alumni Chapter at the same location.
