The JSU Memphis Alumni Chapter’s Book Scholarship Program is designed to recognize, engage, and provide financial support on a semester basis to students from the Greater Memphis Area* who are recent high school graduates and who are undergraduate students currently enrolled at Jackson State University.
The scholarship application deadline for fall awards is August 1 and for spring awards is January 1; unless otherwise stated by the local chapter.
A complete scholarship application packet consists of:

- Official Transcripts
- Two (2) Letters of Recommendation (letters must not be dated before the

The Scholarship Committee will convene after each deadline to review all applications received. Please be advised that incomplete application packets will not be considered for awards. All approved applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision no later than 30 days after the application priority deadline.
